Elizabeth Scholnick is a documentary photographer, filmmaker, and writer living in New York City where she grew up.
She studied at ICP (International Center of Photography) during high school before attending The School of Visual Arts for college where she received her BFA in 2011.
Upon graduating, she found her passion for film which became a vital medium in her work. She began working on what would be her first documentary It’s Like Our Mother, a documentary about New Yorkers and gentrification which she started filming in 2012.
Elizabeth also has published two issues of a Magazine she produced; Mind Breath Magazine, where she interviewed artists from all levels of discipline and notoriety in 2016 and 2017. You can view it and read it here (Issue 1) and here (Issue 2).
Presently she is focusing her efforts into editing her documentary about NYC.
